Review provenance
What the dates mean
“Checked” records the most recent manual page review in this source register. Publication dates describe the source articles where a date was available; missing publication dates remain unknown. Review confirms what a page currently says, not whether every claim on that page is true.
Each source entry below keeps its own checked date. No in-game testing was performed. Hot rules remain labeled by evidence status and should be checked against the current official source before use.
Game-rule and event sources
- S1 — Epic Games: the official announcement source for season context and the recorded Captain's Day schedule. That scope does not establish token odds or every token eligibility rule.
- S2 — GamesRadar; S3 — Dot Esports; S5 — FortniteTools; S8 — Esports.gg: reports and a community guide cited for acquisition, activation and benefit descriptions. Several rely on the same early player footage, so they are not independent in-game tests.
- S4 — Beebom; S7 — Vice: reports retained to show conflicting probability estimates and their assumptions. Neither establishes a confirmed drop rate.
- S9 — Beebom: a media check of a viral skin and creator-code method. It supports the warning that no boost was demonstrated, but it does not establish the real odds.
Open game-source entries and limitations
Official announcement reviewed 2026-11-04. Check the current announcement for later schedule changes. Only the November 1 Captain's Day session and the November 5 A$AP Rocky Shop arrival have announced start times; the other listed dates must remain date-only.

Reviewed 2026-11-04. Contains specific probability, chest-type and mode claims that conflict with other reports. Usable only as a documented example of disagreement, never as a confirmed value.
- FortniteToolsHow to Get Pirate Shop Access in Fortnite
Community guide reviewed 2026-11-04. It cites player footage and other reports rather than an Epic rules page; use only as reported evidence, not independent in-game verification.
Media report attributing a numeric estimate to a dataminer. Epic has not confirmed the estimate, and it depends on stated reward-table assumptions; never present it as the official drop rate.
Media report embedding the first known winner's public posts and follow-up Q&A. It is useful for questions asked of that player, but remains a report of one account rather than an independent test by this site.
Media check of a viral creator claim. It finds no evidence that a cosmetic skin, creator code, or named method changes the random drop odds; it does not establish the actual drop rate.
Compare disputed claims on the drop-rate evidence page and read the editorial policy for the meaning of each evidence label.
Research-only competitor leads
S6 — HintLoot is retained for competitor and product research, not as game-rule evidence. Its page and activation planner were reviewed . The planner combines official Shop dates with reported token windows and assumptions about item availability, so its recommendations are not treated as evidence for this site's rules.
